Ringo, our latest addition was born a couple of weeks ago and both he and his mother, Pebbles, are in fine form and were turned out with the mares and youngsters this week. Madness ensued with all the horses, even Grandmother Dolly, chasing the little fellow and his Mum round and round the field. The only one not participating in this exciting charge was, of course, Precious. She preferred to sharpen her teeth on the bonnet of Caroline’s Freelander, then chew the spare tyre, then decided to play boxing with the assembled Humans who were admiring the new foal. We know she wants all the attention and is not happy at someone else stealing the limelight! It doesn’t seem long ago since she was the new baby and we are happy that she seems to be growing well, despite her difficult start in life and the loss of her mother, Nora. In fact, she is becoming a bit of a giant. We anticipate a fun job come breaking in time!

Are horse and pony owners feeling the pinch from the credit crunch? It seem that everyone is trying to cut back on expenses and in response, Albury Equestrian Centre has developed another new Flexi Livery Services to ease the strain on your wallet!

Flexi Grass Livery is by far the most cost effective way to keep a horse or pony. It is ideal for people on a tight schedule, as the flexi service includes bringing in and turning out which can save precious time. For example, Lynne, a livery who works full time but is able to get to the yard weekday lunchtimes, has her horse Archie brought in and she can jump straight on, giving maximum riding time, then she is free to leg it back to work, as Archie is fed and turned out by the AEC staff. For a small extra charge, grooming, tacking up and any other extras can be arranged on an ad hoc basis. Lynne says,

“This service is so flexible, I cannot recommend it enough. It enables me to enjoy my horse every day, even though I work full time.”

Flexi Grass is available at only £250 per calendar month, so call Caroline on 07956 682389 to reserve a place now.
